What time is The Voice on TV tonight?
The battle rounds continue on “The Voice” on NBC tonight. “The Voice” airs 8-10 p.m. Mondays and 9-10 p.m. Tuesdays. During the blind auditions, the coaches – Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan – could hear but not see the singers.
- In the battle rounds, two artists from the same team will compete against each other.
- The artists are vying for their coach’s confidence and decision to take them to the next round.
- After each vocal battle, the coach must choose which of his or her artists will advance to the next round of competition,” NBC said.
The all-new playoff pass will come into play during the battle rounds. “The Playoff Pass will allow both artists in a battle to advance while the Playoff Pass winner gets a huge advantage by skipping the Knockout Rounds and advancing straight to Playoffs, taking them one step closer to Lives.
Each coach will have one Playoff Pass to use as well as one steal in the Battles. With the steals in play, a losing artist is available for the other coaches to save and bring onto their own team. Artists who won their battle or were stolen by another coach will advance to the Knockouts, while the four artists with a Playoff Pass will advance straight to Playoffs.” The battle rounds started last night.
Here is what happened: Team Shelton – EJ Michels vs. Tasha Jessen singing “The Tracks of My Tears.” Shelton chose Jessen. Horan and Chance both tried to steal Michels with Horan winning that battle. And, Walker Wilson vs. Kason Lester “Here Without You.” Shelton chose Wilson.
- Team Chance – Mariah Kalia vs.
- Jamar Langley singing “Gravity.” Chance chose Jamar.
- And, Sorelle vs.
- Manasseh Samone singing “Someone Like You.” Chance chose Sorelle but used his Playoff Pass to send Samone directly to the playoffs.
- Team Horan – Kala Banham vs.
- Gina Miles singing “Skinny Love.” Horan chose Miles and Clarkson stole Banham.
Team Clarkson – Allie Keck vs. Cait Martin singing “It Must Have Been Love.” Clarkson chose Cait. Team Shelton- Walker Wilson vs. Kason Lester “Here Without You.” Blake chose Wilson. - We’re talking live performances, celebrity appearances, and returning Coaches stopping by to say hello.
- There was an important reason we rolled out the red carpet: It’s Blake Shelton’s last-ever Voice finale.
- After 23 seasons and 12 years of red-chair action, our favorite cowboy is riding off into the sunset.
He deserves the biggest, coolest send-off possible — which is exactly what we gave him. “It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week,” Shelton said in a statement announcing his exit. “I’ve made lifelong bonds with Carson and every single one my fellow Coaches over the years, including my wife, Gwen Stefani ! I have to give a huge shoutout to the singers – the ‘Voices,’ who come on this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent, and a special thanks to those who chose me to be their Coach.

Who was the runner-up on The Voice 2023?
Niall Horan’s first time coaching turned out to be a success. THE VOICE – “Blind Auditions” Episode 2303 – Pictured: (l-r) Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Chance The Rapper, Niall Horan – (Photo by: Evans Vestal Ward/NBC) WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the season 23 finale of The Voice, And your season 23 winner of The Voice is Gina Miles ! While all season it seemed like it was Team Blake’s trophy to lose, in a real “the student becomes the master” situation, first-time coach Niall Horan, Blake Shelton ‘s TV “son,” led his indie pop artist to the big win. Gina Miles showed up to the Blind Auditions a shy teenager with a surprisingly rich voice. She won Niall over with her version of Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” despite her nerves, but really started showing people what she can do in the Battles when she defeated Kala Banham after they duetted on Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love.” From there, Gina and Niall agreed she should lean into her moody, dark pop side, and she took on Gotye’s hit “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Gina peaked at the exact right time, wowing the coaches in the Playoffs with her unforgettable version on Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” and again in the live semi-finals with Kodaline’s “All I Want” — the latter was a real showstopper.
- For her finale performances, Gina wanted to go pure pop to show a different side to her artistry, but her take on Taylor Swift’s “Style” didn’t really show off what she can do.
- She surely won people back over with the night’s closing song, her cover of Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” a perfect song choice for her voice.
“This girl has something special, when you know it you see it,” Niall said of his last-artist-standing. Well, the voters agreed. Gina’s ability to emote and tell a story made her a fan favorite and the new reigning champ of The Voice, Related content:

Who are the 5 finalists on The Voice tonight 2023?
The Voice Season 23 live show results – During the May 15 Live Show, Grace West (Team Blake), D. Smooth (Team Kelly), Gina Miles (Team Niall), Sorelle (Team Chance), and NOIVAS (Team Blake) were all voted to advance to the finale. These were your Top 5 Artists! Sadly, that meant Ryley Tate Wilson, Ray Uriel, and Holly Brand were all eliminated.
- It could’ve been anyone’s game.
- As the winningest Coach, Shelton had secured nine victories on The Voice, and he could’ve reached double digits had one of the two Artists he had in the finale won the season.
- Or what about the new Coaches, Horan or Chance the Rapper? They both had Artists competing in the finale and could’ve proven beginners’ luck by securing a win.
And then there’s Clarkson, who’s won the show an impressive four times and also had a singer headed to the finale. “I think my biggest competition amongst the Coaches is probably Kelly, ’cause she’s a seasoned vet, she’s won a bunch of times, and people just gravitative towards her ‘cause they know she’s been in a competition.
- She’s mega famous,” Chance the Rapper told NBC Insider when we asked him about his predictions for the season,
- Meanwhile, Clarkson told us she was secretly hoping an Artist from Shelton’s team won because it’s the cowboy’s last season as a Coach.
- Will I go any easier on Blake knowing it’s his last season? Do you know me at all? No!” Clarkson said.
“Do I hope secretly that he wins his last season? Maybe. But am I going to let him have it? No! I’m going to work for my Artists, and I hope they win!” This post was originally published on May 23, 2023. It was updated on May 24, 2023.
Is The Voice 2023 over?
The Voice Crowns 2023 Champion The winner of season 23 has been revealed. It was the end of an era Tuesday night (May 23) as crowned its 2023 winner, and coach Blake Shelton hung up his cowboy hat for the very last time. After months of blind auditions, tears, cheers, battles, and a few baffling moments, five contestants duked it out for the second night of the two-part grand finale.
On night one, which beamed out Monday (May 22) on, Gina Miles, Grace West, D.Smooth, Sorelle and Noivas respectively graced the stage for solo performances. Tonight, each of the finalists teamed up with their coaches for a duet. And faced the final countdown. One theme that bubbled away through the season had focused on Shelton, and whether the outgoing nine-time winning coach would leave the reality TV show on a high note.
For this swansong, Shelton had twice the opportunity of his rival coaches. On Tuesday, he performed with Noivas on Michael Buble’s “Home,” and with Grace West on Blake’s own hit “Lonely Tonight.” Would he, could he do it again and guide an artist to glory? Flat answer, no.
- As the 23rd season wrapped, it was Niall Horan’s teammate Gina Miles who took the trophy.
- The youngster from Sacramento, CA, broke hearts with a rendition of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” Prince’s classic 90s number made popular by Sinead O’Connor, and a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Style.” When she dueted with Horan on Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind,” The Voice viewers had seen enough.
Horan, the debutant, enjoys the rub of the green. Blake, who had a near miss in his quest to crack double figures, might call it the luck of the Irish. “I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” Shelton said in a statement.
“This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best.” His exit statement continues, “It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week.
I’ve made lifelong bonds with Carson and every single one my fellow Coaches over the years, including my wife Gwen Stefani! I have to give a huge shoutout to the singers–the ‘Voices,’ who come on this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent, and a special thanks to those who chose me to be their Coach.
Lastly, it’s about y’all, the fans, who watch and support these Artists, us Coaches, and everyone at The Voice who are chasing their dreams. It would not happen without you!” Shelton got ever-so-close. His teammate Grace West finished second and Kelly Clarkson’s singer D.Smooth completed the podium. The victorious Miles collects a six-figure cash prize and a recording contract with Universal Republic Records.
