Volvo Motability Cars 2023 – Our Volvo Motability deals update each quarter. This means that a new set of Motability Volvo cars might be available on each refresh. As well as our range of Volvo Motability deals, we often have a range of new hybrid / electric vehicles as well.

Currently, we do not have any Volvo Motability cars available right now, but it is likely that we will have some soon. These might include the Volvo XC40 SUV and XC40 Recharge PHEV. Can you get a 4×4 on Motability?

Choosing between a 4×4 and AWD – Unfortunately, there’s not much consistency in how the terms ‘four-wheel drive’ and ‘all-wheel drive’ are used. Manufacturers can use both terms interchangeably, and in some instances, they even have their own labels. For example, Volkswagen uses the term 4Motion, BMW uses xDrive and Suzuki uses ALLGRIP.

You also need to keep your eyes peeled when browsing cars, because the label 4×4 can sometimes be used to describe a car that looks like an off-roader but which may not actually have four-wheel drive capability. So make sure you research your chosen model and speak to a Motability Scheme dealer who’ll be able to give you more information.

Will I lose my Motability car?

What happens if my allowance stops? If your allowance provider decides you’re not eligible for your higher rate mobility allowance anymore, you need to let us know. Then we’ll help you to give your vehicle back. You do not need to pay for your lease once you’ve given us your vehicle given back.

We might refund any Advance Payment on a pro-rata basis. As Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is replacing Disability Living Allowance (DLA), some people might not qualify for mobility support or might get a lower rate. This could mean you’re not eligible for the Scheme anymore. If this happens, there’s a transitional support package that might help you, if you’re not eligible anymore because of an unsuccessful DLA to PIP reassessment.

Can I keep the same vehicle after my lease ends? In most cases you can extend the lease on your current car or WAV Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, With a lease extension, you’ll continue to get everything in your worry-free package, and you’ll get to stay in a vehicle you enjoy travelling in.

• If you’ve already extended your lease for two years or more and you want to keep your car for longer, call us on to talk to us about your options.

You’ll still need an MOT test if you extend your lease. You’ll need to get this done within the last three months of your lease and before you hand your vehicle back or extend your lease.

1. We recommend you book your MOT in for at least one month before it’s due, to allow time for anything to be fixed before your MOT expires.
2. You’ll also need to book another MOT test every 12 months,
3. This means if your lease is extended for two years, you might need to get another two MOT tests before you hand your vehicle back.
4. The cost of your MOT test is included in your Scheme lease.
5. You can also buy your vehicle at the end of your lease – contact us in the final three months of your lease to talk to us about this.
