Who qualified in Group 2 in T20?
Two teams each from Group 1 and 2 from the Super-12 stage qualifed for the last-four of the ICC World T20. (2022 Getty Images) The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 started in Australia on October 16 with the group stages and moved on to the Super 12s on October 21. The top eight ranked T20 International teams, as of November 15, 2021, were joined by four teams from the qualifiers to form two groups in the Super 12s.
- Group 1 featured New Zealand, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Afghanistan.
- India, South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and the Netherlands formed Group 2.
- As per the format and playing conditions of the T20 World cup, each team played five matches in the Super 12s, in a round-robin format.
Two points were awarded for a win and one point for an abandoned game. After all the teams played each other once in their groups, the top two teams from each group made it to the semi-finals. If two or more teams were level on points, the team with more wins was awarded the higher place, followed by the Net Run Rate (NRR), if necessary.
From Group 1, New Zealand and England qualified for the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals, ending Australia’s title defence. Meanwhile, from Group 2, India qualified for the T20 World Cup semi-finals after the Netherlands beat South Africa to eliminate the Proteas from the competition. Pakistan finished behind table toppers India to make the last four, beating Bangladesh to the second spot.
New Zealand take on Pakistan in the first T20 World Cup semi-final while India will be up against England in the second. The T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals will be played on November 9 and 10. The final will be played on November 13.

What is the highest score in World Cup history?
12 goals: Austria 7-5 Switzerland at Switzerland 1954 – Austria and Switzerland produced a goal-fest at the 1954 World Cup in Switzerland, scoring 12 goals in all. It is the highest goal-scoring match in the football World Cup. Playing in the quarter-finals at Lausanne, two players, Theodor Wagner of Austria and Switzerland’s Josef Hugi, scored twice in the opening half.
The hosts led 3-0 in the first 20 minutes but Austria struck five times in the next 15 to go into the break with a 5-4 lead. However, the second half, owing to the high temperature that day (40°C), was a quieter affair with just three goals as Wagner and Hugi completed their hat-tricks. Austria went on to win the match 7-5.
The scoreline would have been even higher had Robert Korner of Austria not missed a penalty in the 42nd minute.

Can you get 5 points in cricket?
Runs scored by running – Harmanpreet Kaur taking a run while batting for Sydney Thunder, 2018. Batsmen frequently run singles and also “twos” and “threes”. If the batsmen run a single or a three, they have “changed ends”, so the striking batsman becomes the non-striker for the next delivery, and vice versa.
If the single or three is scored off the last delivery of the over, the striker, having changed ends, retains the strike for the first delivery of the next over. There are rare instances of “fours” being all run when the ball does not reach the boundary. A “five” is possible, but usually arises from a mistake by the fielders, such as an overthrow,
The batsman is never compelled to run and can deliberately play without attempting to score. This is known as running between the wickets, The batsmen stop running when they judge that the ball is sufficiently controlled by the fielding team to prevent another run, for example when it is returned to the bowler or the wicketkeeper,
