According to sources, over 500 additional buildings have been arranged across the state compared to previous years. In March 2022, Class 12 Science examinations were conducted in 506 buildings, which has increased to 581 this year. For general stream, 1,833 buildings have been arranged, an increase from 1,400 previous year, while around 90,000 staff will be deployed, against 80,000 the previous year.

As reported by The Indian Express in January 2022, of the 8.5 lakh regular students who appeared for Class 10 GSHSEB exams in 2021, over 2.6 lakh students or 31 per cent were given mass promotion. Of these, nearly 9,400 students were awarded over 100 grace marks. As per data accessed by The Indian Express, over 170 students, including 65 girls, were awarded the highest of nearly 200 marks to be promoted to Class 11 in June 2021.

The minimum pass marks is 231 — 33 marks each for seven subjects. In 2020, the overall pass percentage of 7,92,942 candidates who sat for the exams reduced from 66.97 per cent in 2019 to 60.64 per cent. In 2022, this pass percentage was recorded as 65.18 per cent.
