The panel said admissions to the two new state private universities, which will share 50% of seats, will be done by the selection committee with fees ranging between Rs 5.4 lakh and Rs 28.8 lakh.

  2. Admission to the remaining 35%-50% seats will be under the management, NRI/NRI-lapsed category.
  3. As per the new fee structure, students admitted to self-financing colleges must pay anywhere between Rs 4.3 lakh to 4.5 lakh a year.

The highest hike was for SRM Trichy Medical College, where students will pay Rs 4.5 lakh a year – Rs 55,000 more to compared to the previous year -, and lowest hike was for Muthukumaran Medical College, where students will pay Rs 4.3 lakh – Rs 35000 lesser than the last year.
