How Astrology & Planetary Position Can Impact On Higher Education? Dr. Sohini Sastri,, known for her accurate prediction and effective guidance with vast knowledge of astrology and occult science. She is a KP Astrologer with 15+ years of experience in Vedic astrology, palmistry, vastu etc.
- Dr. Sastri is rewarded by President of India, Vice President of India, and Governors of three states.
- She has written many books about astrology and regular columnist of many popular magazines and a very popular face in different TV shows.
- In this highly competitive society, we all are racing towards career, better opportunity, money, and a good lifestyle.
Parents are highly concern about their child future. And a wrong step in choosing the correct stream of higher education for your children might ruin their future. Today we will discuss this crucial subject with President award winning astrologer and philanthropist, Dr.
Sohini Sastri. So, Dr. Sastri, can you please enlighten us on how to judge higher education based on birth chart and planetary positions? Dr. Sohini Sastri: As per the ancient Hindu scriptures sages or gurus believed that examination helped a Shishya or student to gain confidence, knowledge, and wisdom in their life.
We follow the process of examination since ancient era and even today examination helps to determine the knowledge & wisdom of a student. Thus, we can say examination is the base of our education system. In Hinduism, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped as the foundation and origin of knowledge, wisdom, art, and music.
It is believed that one, who worships her with pure devotions and correct vidhi, is blessed with extraordinary knowledge and wisdom. In the current society, doing well in examination and secure a higher percentage is very important. Good grade in examination helps for a further higher study, job etc. Literally it’s a gate pass nowadays.
Therefore, I am sharing with you this powerful Saraswati Mantra, which is very helpful & important for a student to do well in exam. If duly chanted, it would impart knowledge and wisdom to the seeker. Om Saraswateya Vidhmahe Brahmaputreya Dhimahi | Tanno Devi Prachodayata || Although there’s no shortcut to hard work, so I would advise that the students must give in all efforts into their studies and seek blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
Meanwhile, parents can do regular Saraswati puja and chant the mantra throughout their child’s examinations. Can you share with us the planetary combinations that are responsible for success and obstruction in higher education? Dr. Sohini Sastri: It’s every parent’s dream that their child become highly educated and be considered as a respected person in the society.
To achieve such goal the only way is pursue higher education like B.Tech, M.Tech, Doctorate, Post Doctorate etc. In order to achieve such degrees, the native has to intelligent, sharp, studious and patience. Those are only possible when the native’s chart contains certain ‘Yogs’ related to higher education.
Otherwise, he/she will face failure no matter how hard they try. Following are some planetary combinations that are responsible for success and obstruction in higher education – 1. In our birth chart 4th house is responsible for education, 5th house stands for knowledge, 9th house controls higher study and 11th house predict our success.
In order to get success in higher study Jupiter, Mercury, Venus and Ketu have to be in good position.2. Mercury represents intelligence, Jupiter stands for knowledge & wisdom, Venus is all about entertainment, art & crafts, whereas Ketu represent hidden intelligence & highly technical skill.
If the positions of these planets are good, then they help in higher education.3. If Rahu is posited in 6th, 8th or 12th house then the native will face serious concentration problem, which eventually lead to failure in higher education.4. If Jupiter is aligned with Rahu in 12th house, then the native will miss the opportunity for very little numbers.5.
If the lord of 9th house is posited in 8th house, then it will create obstruction in higher studies.6. If the lord of 5th house is posited in 12th house in afflicted state and Saturn is aligned with Rahu in 9th house, then the native will face failure again and again.7.
Apart from these, if Venus is debilitated, Mercury is weak, and Jupiter is in retrograde position in 8th house and Ketu is not benefic then the native will never be able to pursue higher education.8. In order to get success in higher education it is necessary that the lords of 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th house are well placed, strong, supportive and benefic.9.
Here goes few negative yogs that can create problems in higher education – Kaal Sarp Dosh, Guru Rahu Dosh, Shrapit Dosh, Grahan Dosh, Vish Yog etc. If any two of them are present in chart, then it’s very hard to get success in higher education.
But do not worry, you can avoid these complexities by discussing with a knowledgeable astrologer. What is your view on the impact of astrology over competitive exam?
Dr. Sohini Sastri: In this competitive world we are now habituated to evaluate the quality of a student based on their jobs and career. No doubt, our student life gets completion only when we can crack a job. Though it may sound harsh, but it’s the reality.
Here I am going to share few astrological facts related to competitive examination – 1. If the 9th house is benefic in the native’s chart, it helps him/her to clear the examination. Along with being benefic, the 9th house also has to be in good position and strong in order to crack competitive exam.2.
If the main period & sub period are influenced by malefic planets in time of examination, then the native will face difficulties in clearing the examination. The same will happen if Rahu and Ketu are posited in 12th house and their main period & sub period are going on.3.
- If Lagna is benefic and strong and the native’s 5th house is powerful, then he/she will be very knowledgeable and owner of very strong willpower.
- Along with these qualities, if the Mercury is strong and posited in lagna, 4th, 5th, 9th or 11th house, then they will have a huge chance of cracking the exam.
If Jupiter, Sun, Rahu and Venus are strong and posited in good position then the native have a good chance of appearing in competitive exam. If these planets are weak and posited in 8th or 12th house, then the native will face many obstacles in clearing the examination.4.4th house (house of education), 5th house (house of knowledge) and 6th house plays supporting role in competitive exams.
If Jupiter, Mercury, Sun and Rahu are strong and posited in 6th house, then it will become easy for the native to clear the exam.5. If Mercury is weak and retrograde then the native will face challenges like nervousness during exam, silly mistakes etc. If anyone has Budha Aditya yog, Guru Aditya yog, Bondhu Pujya yog or Raj yog in their chart then they will appear in competitive exam successfully with good marks.
If those are not available then the native’s 5th, 6th, 9th and 11th house have to be strong and benefic in order to get success in competitive exam. Along with these, the Vidya karaka planets, such as Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, or Sun have to be benefic and strong.6.
Beside these facts, we must consider our D9 chart also. If Ketu is benefic then the health will be fine during exam. If the Ketu is weak and malefic then the native will suffer from sudden health issue before or during exam, resulting in poor performance or total absence in exam. As I have told before, there is no chance of making single mistake, do consult with an expert before you proceed to your next step.

Introduction of Education in Vedic Astrology:- In Astrology, generally we see the 2nd house and the lord of 2nd house and the planed in 2nd house for primary education, 4th house and the 4th house lord and the planet in 4th house and for post graduate level of education and research studies like M.Phil, Ph.D.
In astrology, it is generally known that 5th house and 9th house (purva punya kshethra and dharma kshethra) will not give bad effects to the native even if malefic are seated in these houses. “Sarvabouma yoga ” is created if the 5th house lord and the 9th house lords are conjuncted, aspected each other or in parivarthana between 5th house lord and 9th house lords.
- If this yoga present in a chart, the native is blessed with extremely best education; receive honour, medals well recognized in the society for their knowledge.
- If benefic planet posited in the 5th house, the native is very fortunate.
- If the lord of 9th is in posited in 5th house, the native would certainly have writing capability, familiarity, huge wealth.5th lord is posited to Kendra to Chandra lagna (moon), the native would lead a royal life.
Conjunction of 9th and 5th lords would promise the best education to the native. We can take 2nd house for family, finance, eyesight (money to spend on education, family circumstances to continue education and good eye sight to study).4th house for mother who educate the child first in home and taking proper care while going school at the early stage appreciating the child for its better education.9th house for father for helping the child to pursue for higher studies and finally the 5th house for teacher who guides the student to achieve the goal in research.
- Ofcourse we must analyse the 8th house for research studies (hidden values).
- There is a sayings in Sanskrit “Mathaa, Pithaa, Guru Dheivam”.
- Thus we have to analyse all the houses ie.2nd,4th,5th,8th, and 9th house and their lords, the planets posited in these houses etc.
- But before analyzing these houses we must the lagna, lagna lore and the planet posited in lagna.
Without strong Lagna and lagna lord one cannot achieve anything without struggle. If the lagna lord is posited in 6,8,& 12 the house from ascendant, the child has to suffer a lot. The lagna lord should be placed in kendras (1,4,7& 10) also called Vishnusthanam, pillars of the horoscope and in trikonas (1st,5th and 9th) also called lakshmisthanam or in 11th house.

Which planet is responsible for not studying?
Since ancient times, astrology has been well-known as an effective means of education and has helped many students and learners to appease the planets so that they can overcome the hurdles and difficulties in their academic or student life. Choosing the right astrological approach not only helps in gaining success but also helps in making the correct choice of subject and opting for the right career stream.
Here is a glimpse of some of the solutions that you can implement and start your journey on the road to triumph! 1. If your child is just not able to concentrate and is distracted all the time, put up green curtains in his/her study room. Ask him/her to pray to Goddess Saraswati before sitting to study and to recite Maa Saraswati Beej Mantra (Om Shreem Hreem Saraswati-ya Namaha) 21 times.
Preferably have Goddess Saraswati’s photo installed in the room where the child studies.2. On a Thursday, offer five different kinds of sweets to the Peepal tree along with two pieces of green cardamom. Do this for three consecutive Thursdays.3. To improve concentration and memorization, have your child wear a small square piece of copper in a chain.4.
- Combine Roli, Sugar, and Rose petals in a copper container and offer it to the Sun Lord.
- Also, make some donations in red on this very day.
- Donate two matchboxes and have food without salt on Sunday.5.
- To improve memory, have your child take one teaspoon of tulsi juice (basil leaves juice) with honey every morning after breakfast.6.
Teach your child the powerful and very beneficial Gayatri Mantra and have him/her recite the same 21 times in a day along with ‘Om’ chanting.7. Sometimes, due to some afflictions on Planet Mercury, the child is not able to study uninterrupted. To overcome this problem, offer green moong seeds, dhruva, and a few green cardamom seeds in a green cloth in any Lord Ganesha temple.
- Pray to Lord Ganesha to bless the child with wisdom and intelligence.8.
- In the kid’s room, have the bed placed in the south-west corner and when the child sleeps, ensure that his/her head is facing the east or south direction.9.
- Always keep the furniture a few inches away from the wall in the kid’s room.
This will ensure a free movement of the positive energy.10. The study desk should be placed in such a manner that the child faces east, north, or northeast while studying.11. Sitting while facing east, ask him/her to become calm and composed, gathering all the thoughts.

Which planet is responsible for concentration in studies?
What Astrology Has To Say About Concentration Problem? Dr. Sohini Sastri, known for her accurate prediction and effective guidance with vast knowledge of astrology and occult science.
- We hear the word “Concentration”, What is it really, according to you? Dr.
Sohini Sastri: Concentration is one of the most crucial criteria to get success in any aspect of our lives, whether it is education, work, or reaching personal and professional goals. To realise your actual potential and hidden abilities, you must be focused.
- Nothing will go as planned while you are suffering from a lack of concentration.
- And over time, you’ll get dissatisfied, paranoid, and progressively pessimistic.
- These things are immediate, but they will damage you from the inside out in the long run, leaving you unable to achieve anything constructive.
The higher your degree of focus is, the more productive you will be. Eventually, it will lead to recognition, promotion, financial prosperity, and, ultimately, a happy family and life. How can we identify that someone is suffering from concentration problem? Dr.
- Sohini Sastri: There are few basic indications which will help us identify if we are suffering from lack of concentration.1.
- Forgetting about things that you earlier put somewhere.2.
- Missing a key component while working, like cooking, building something, coding etc.3.
- Lethargic to study, work 4.
- Repeatedly breaking your commitment in both personal & professional place.5.
You don’t feel like meeting anyone, even if that can benefit you.6. Keep thinking rubbish, fairy tale; sometimes even you don’t know what you were thinking.7. Keeping company of people who lives their life day dreaming, gossiping; nothing productive at all.8.
You can’t even perform at the tasks where you were expert before. What are effects you were mentioning earlier that one can face in long run due concentration difficulty? Dr. Sohini Sastri: Now, that’s the thing to worry about. All these symptoms slowly lead you towards mental instability and depression.
We all know that a negative person will not only the cause of his own downfall, but also the downfall of others who are surrounding. You will look for faults in others and blame them for even your own faults. You will feel the need to escape from any challenging environment.
- When this happens, you can only think of how you lost the importance that you used to get previously.
- This will only make things even worse; it will create tremendous mental pressure, frustration, stops your progress and sometimes effect negatively on your moral compass.
- For the better understanding of our readers, can you please share the astrological facts, planets and their positions that are responsible for problems related to concentration? Dr.
Sohini Sastri: Sure. Following are few main facts we should consider in case of concentration related problem. First, we need to know the main significators or ‘Karaka’ planets for Concentration. Those are Rahu, Ketu, Moon & Mercury.1. A malefic Ketu in your natal chart is responsible for immense negativity in your character.
This planet causes hesitation, confusion or you will always want to appear confused to get others’ sympathies. It will completely dissolve your decision-making capability and make you dependant on others. If Ketu is good, you can become a psychic, but if it’s bad, it will lead you toward many mental disorders.
Lethargic to work, class bunks, silly mistakes, irregular in workspace, lack of studiousness, not communicating with others; those are few common symptoms of malefic Ketu. If we talk about mental health, a malefic Ketu can lead you to OCD, ADHD, and other disorders.
- It is also the cause of low self-esteem, lack of will-power, unnecessary emotional turmoil, egos, suspiciousness, illusions, and unnecessary fears in your head.
- It is medically proven that all the above problems are responsible for sleep deficiency or disorder, which can eventually cause physical problems too.2.
When it comes to Rahu, things are bit different. A malefic Rahu in your chart can do a lot of reputational damage. You will start to become very shrewd, and you will make a hobby of cheating others. Eventually, one day you will cheat yourself and that will lead you to your downfall.
We realize the need of a soul mate most when we become aged. A malefic Rahu will ensure that you will have no one left in the world to cry on his/ her shoulder.3. If the concentration issue is causing because of Moon; it will lead you to an imaginary world. You will lose all your productivity and positive brain activity.
You will be unable to think logically; always talk emotionally and don’t want to do any sort of work that matters. You cannot expect any realistic decision by your own. A warning if you belong to this category, a time will come when you will be unable to think of anything productive, calculative, or realistic.4.
The joint effect of Saturn and Moon cause negativity and eventually lead to depression or some other brain disorder. Mercury and Sun are also responsible for lack of concentration in some cases. Sun causes enormous ego and self-righteousness that will make you think superior and leads to your downfall.5.
The Fifth House or ‘Pancham Bhava’ in our birth chart is responsible for controlling our mind. If Ketu is posited in fifth house and it is malefic, then it can cause concentration related problem.6. Concentration problem can also happen in case the lord of fifth house posited in sixth, eighth or twelfth house in our birth chart.
- There are also few factors in our birth chart that are responsible for concentration problem.
- Such as, negative impact of Saturn-Moon.
- The conjunction of Saturn and Moon in birth chart is known as ‘Vish Yoga’ or ‘Shani Vish Yoga’.
- Grahan Dosh’ caused by close conjunction of Rahu and Moon.
- Also, if the native’s ‘Vakri Budh’ or Mercury retrogrades ascendant or ‘lagna’ posited in sixth, eighth or twelfth house, it will create huge negative impact on native’s life.
These factors can cause many problems, like less-attentiveness while reading, weak memory, and silly mistakes and so on, which eventually lead you to serious concentration problem. Well, based on my personal experiences and case studies, I can state that the best way to prevent the harms caused by concentration problems is to address them as soon as detected.
We must first determine the exact location of Rahu, Ketu, Moon, Mercury, and Saturn in our birth chart, as these are the planets that govern our concentration. Then we must determine which planets are malefic and are to blame for the issue. Once we will successfully identify that, we can treat them accordingly.

Which chart is for education?
Vaughn Paul Manley, M.A. There are several heated debates among Vedic astrologers, and one that hovers near the top of the heat index is, “Which is the primary house of education?” Generally, north Indian astrologers attribute the 5th house, while south Indians give the 4th house.
- I’ve addressed this issue in three previous articles: What is the House of Education?, Ideas About the 5th House and Education, and The Three Most Important Houses of Education.
- With regards to this question, both north and south Indians are right in my opinion.
- However, the 4th house is typically seen for compulsory foundational education (pre-college), while the 5th house is seen for non-compulsory college education, or the point when the student has choice in the subjects to study, and picking a major.
So for educational counseling purposes, meaning when someone is trying to determine what they should study or major in, it’s a 5th house matter. Also, the 5th house, 5th lord, or karakas Jupiter and Mercury will reveal favorable dasha periods as will be shown in the following example charts. This article provides a few good illustrations of how the 5th house can be seen for predicting periods of education. This is shown not only in the natal chart, but also in the D-24 divisional chart, also called the Chaturvimshamsha or Siddhamsha, which is the primary divisional chart for education.
While the translated word is not ‘education’ itself as in ‘academic pursuits,’ it’s hinted at by ‘learning,’ ‘intellect’ and ‘knowledge.’ The 5th house is the process of learning, increasing knowledge and exercising the intellect. Whether it’s formal or informal education, or acquiring secular or spiritual knowledge it can seen primarily from the 5th house. The 5th house can be seen for undergraduate studies, while the 9th house can be seen for higher education or post graduate studies. Using the principle of Bhavat Bhavam, the 9th house is the 5th house from the 5th house, or the higher level or higher octave of the 5th house.
- Similarly, the 5th house, being the 3rd house from the 3rd house, can be seen as the higher octave of the 3rd house.
- It’s the house of one’s strong and intense interests, while the 3rd house represents one’s casual hobbies.
- The 5th house can also secondarily represent the 9th house, because it’s the 9th house from the 9th house.
Therefore, it primarily represents undergraduate degrees, but can also indicate post graduate degrees secondarily, as can be seen in the following examples. Lastly, the most important karakas or significators for education are Mercury and Jupiter, and either planet’s dasha can indicate a period of education, regardless if they have a connection with the 5th or 9th house or not. Example 1 Natal Chart This is the chart of a woman who began her master’s degree in Civil Engineering during her Moon-Rahu dasha. Moon is the 9th lord, and Rahu is disposited (ruled) by Venus, which is in the 9th house from the Moon. She is now completing her degree during Moon-Jupiter. Jupiter is the 5th lord placed in the 5th house, aspected by exalted Mercury. Example 1 Chaturvimshamsha Chart (D24) In her D-24 chart, Moon is in the 5th house aspected by 9th lord, Jupiter. Rahu is in the 4th house aspected by 5th lord, Sun, and disposited by the Moon in the 5th house, which is aspected by 9th lord, Jupiter. This confirms that her Moon-Rahu and into her Moon-Jupiter dasha would be favorable periods for education. Example 2 Natal Chart This is the chart of a man who started his 7 year Mars dasha in November 1993 at age 16. It was in this dasha that he began college and completed his undergraduate degree. Notice that Mars is with 5th lord, Saturn, and in the 5th house from the Moon.
After his Mars dasha came his Rahu dasha begriming in November 2000. Shortly after Rahu dasha began, he enrolled in a Masters degree program followed by a doctoral program in Educational Administration, which combined took him about 10 years to complete. Notice how Rahu is disposited (ruled) by Mercury, which is placed in the 9th house aspected by 5th lord Saturn.
Mercury is also in an exchange with 9th lord Venus, and conjunct the Sun, the 5th lord from the Moon. Example 2 Chaturvimshamsha Chart (D24) Looking at his D-24 chart, the position of Mars confirms that a Mars dasha will give be an educational period. Mars is the 9th lord, conjunct the 5th lord, Jupiter. Likewise, the same is true for Rahu’s placement for his Rahu dasha.
It is placed in the 7th house aspected by 5th lord Jupiter, and 9th lord Mars. From the Moon, Rahu is also in the 9th house. The D-24 chart should be made use of to confirm a pattern in education that is already seen in the natal chart, as shown in these example charts. However, it needs to be understood that the D-24 chart is a very refined division and it can only be reliably used if there is an accurate birth time.
Typically, the D-24 lagna will change every 5 or 6 minutes. If you have an accurate D-24 then you can predict education with much confidence. It will confirm what is already seen in the natal chart, that a dasha period is indeed a time for education and acquiring knowledge.
There are many more example charts that I could post because I’ve seen these patterns emerging quite consistently. But this is a start to hopefully convince students of the use the 5th house (and 9th house) for education, not only in the natal chart but in the Chaturvimshamsha or D-24 chart. But don’t take my word for it.
Test it out yourself. ————————————————–

This story is from December 1, 2020 Rahu is the north lunar node (ascending) and it along with Ketu is a “shadow planet” that causes eclipses. Rahu has no physical shape. It is an imaginary planet but considering the importance of Rahu in astrology, it has been allocated the status of the planet by Rishis.
Rahu is known to confer malefic effects in general and is considered as a planet which induces laziness, delays, and hurdles in work. Rahu is known to reflect its shadow for 18 months in a zodiac. It can create confusion, depression and emotional imbalance if placed negatively in the horoscope. It is said that if Rahu sits in an auspicious position in the horoscope of a person, then luck is brightened.
With this, the person attains sharp intellect. The native receives honour and fame in the society. It has friendly ties with planets like Venus, Mercury, and Saturn. The Moon and Sun are the enemy planets in which it is more averse to the Sun. Here are some astrological remedies to improve Rahu in your horoscope:
I suggest you wear sandalwood tied in blue thread to diminish the negative effect of Rahu causing you anger and fright. I recommend you to meditate during Rahu Kaal everyday as it will protect you from ill influence of Rahu in your horoscope. I would also recommend you to donate water and four coconuts in the temple at the time of Amavasya. Jupiter is the only planet that can control Rahu, Jupiter represents ‘Guru’ and hence I advise you to worship and respect your Guru. I think it’s the best way to save yourself from the harmful effects of Rahu. Best remedy I could suggest is chanting the mantra ‘Om Raa(n) Rahve Namah’. This will help everyone regardless of their age or zodiac. If you are not being able to sleep peacefully, keeping fennel (saunf) seeds under your pillow will help you improve Rahu’s effect. I will strongly recommend you to chant Rahu Beej Mantra for 18000 times in the duration of 40 days. I think you can benefit by keeping elephants made of silver in your house and using silver glass to drink anything. Wearing an 8 faced Rudraksha will benefit you as it has 8 manifestations. You should wear dark blue clothes as much as possible. I suggest you fast on Saturday and have a meal after sunset. I recommend you store water in the South – West corner as it can improve Rahu in your horoscope. I also suggest you donate black and blue clothes and food to underprivileged people. It will be of great benefit as it pleases Rahu. Adding a cup of milk to water while bathing for 43 consecutive days will also benefit you.

Which planet gives early success?
First of all, one should understand no planet is good or bad; no planet gives automated/predefined results. So, one should try to understand the reasons behind any planetary position allotted in the original horoscope. You get all planetary positions as a result of your past life deeds.
- In my opinion, one should care more about negative planets and try to understand how to mitigate their harmful impact of the same in the present life.
- This is the basic Theory of Karma.
- The same rule applies to Jupiter as well.
- If you have mishandled/abused some particular traits/significations of Jupiter in your previous life/s, you are bound to get a bad Jupiter in your birth chart/horoscope.
Now understand the role of Jupiter. The role of Jupiter is mainly positive in our life, provided we know how to use it. Jupiter is considered as Guru (Teacher) of all Devta planets, Sun, Moon, and Mars. Jupiter is a planet of blessings, optimism, success, and generosity, provided it is well placed in your horoscope.
- But a negative Jupiter can make a person overspending, lazy, loving luxury, disobedient and over-confident.
- Jupiter is the most evident or pratyaksha God in the horoscope.
- Jupiter is called the Jeeva or soul of a person in Astrology.
- Jupiter relates with soul searching or aatm- manthan of a native, which makes it the most important planet of the horoscope.
Jupiter is an important planet because apart from owning two houses and getting exalted and debilitated in different zodiac signs, it has been considered a karaka of the five houses in a horoscope. It simply means that Jupiter influences ten houses out of the total 12 houses of a birth chart.
This speaks about how important the placement of Jupiter in a birth chart is for a person. It be new but interesting to know that in the Vedic era when children were sent to Gurukul as early as at the age of 5-6 years. The rishi or the teacher used to analyze the position of Jupiter in the child’s kundli to decide their intellectual levels.
Placement of Jupiter was the main criterion to allot the class or level of learning. How to know Jupiter is bad or good Ask yourself to understand if your Jupiter is good or bad in your horoscope. You check traits in you, and you would know if your Jupiter is bad or good in birth chart/horoscope.

That is 1.5 times faster than the speed of sound. In 1989, NASA’s Voyager 2 spacecraft made the first and only close-up observations of Neptune.
Detailed images taken by the spacecraft revealed bright, white clouds and two colossal storms whipping around the planet’s atmosphere. Neptune is a gas giant composed primarily of hydrogen and helium. Methane gas makes up only one or two percent of the atmosphere but absorbs longer wavelengths of sunlight in the red part of the spectrum, giving the planet its brilliant blue color.

Similarly, the 5th house, being the 3rd house from the 3rd house, can be seen as the higher octave of the 3rd house. It’s the house of one’s strong and intense interests, while the 3rd house represents one’s casual hobbies. The 5th house can also secondarily represent the 9th house, because it’s the 9th house from the 9th house.
- There are many more example charts that I could post because I’ve seen these patterns emerging quite consistently.
- But this is a start to hopefully convince students of the use the 5th house (and 9th house) for education, not only in the natal chart but in the Chaturvimshamsha or D-24 chart.
- But don’t take my word for it.
Test it out yourself. ————————————————–
