According to the latest order issued by the state education, for students of Classes 1 to 8, hostels will reopen from November 1 while Classes 9 and 11 students will be allowed to enter hostels from October 19.

  • The schools have been reopened in the state for class 10 students from September 20, 2021.

  • Education Minister Ranoj Pegu had earlier announced that the schools across Assam may reopen from September 1.

Are schools going to reopen in Ghaziabad?

Schools to reopen in Ghaziabad, with some concerns As per recent government orders, schools for classes 9-12th will reopen from February 7, 2022. Classes will continue being held online for younger students. However, in some schools, classes for younger children may also begin shortly.

  • This decision of the government to reopen the school has left the community of Ghaziabad divided.
  • Some welcome the step, feeling it is a step towards bringing the education of children back on track.
  • Others feel that physical classes can risk the health of children.
  • Since schools are reopening, pre-board will start in many places as soon as the school opens.

After the pre-boards in February, the final examinations of other classes will also be held in the first week of March in offline mode. “Schools should be reopened, I’m in full support of the government’s decision. Online classes were not so practical as students were not paying attention to them, and they were not as effective.

The past two years have affected the education of children drastically and so classes should resume in offline mode and exams should also be taken in offline mode.” says Jitendra Sharma, member of Ghaziabad Parent’s association. Still, several parents are worried about the ongoing pandemic and how going to school might affect their children.

“Schools should reopen at least after a month or two as now it is not safe for the children who are not vaccinated. Moreover, schools will not take responsibility if any child gets infected, I will not send my children to offline classes till the next session,” Manoj Khanna, a resident of New Panchwati, Ghaziabad and a father of two.

“Due to ongoing COVID crisis, I don’t want to go to school at least for now, I’d like to attend classes through online mode”, says Navya, a student of Chaudhary Chhabil das Public school, in the fifth standard. “It is safe for the children who are fully vaccinated but what about the ones below 13 who are not vaccinated.

I think that it is not safe for children who are below the sixth or seventh standards because the third wave is still not gone yet. In my view the government should reopen schools after the summer vacations”, says Faisal Khan, Legal advisor of Ghaziabad parents’ association and a father of two school-going children.

Why Delhi Public School is so famous?

Why Dps – Delhi Public World School The Delhi Public World School is an innovative effort to integrate the best ideas in education taken from all good practices in India and around the world. For instance, we borrow from the Nai Talim principles of Mahatma Gandhi whereby learning takes place by doing, where knowledge and activities are not separated from each other, and the virtuous character of the child is built to last a life time.

  • We also strive to make the principle of universal peace and tolerance the basis of DPS, so that every child who comes to us leaves the school with a habit of humility making our future world a place of harmony and goodwill towards all.
  • Emphasis is laid on learning from the environment combining spiritual philosophies with different subjects in the curriculum.

The DPS ethos of equity, compassion, cooperation and service before self is our earnest endeavour. To achieve this blend, our student community is involved in peer tutoring to reach out to fellow students who may be less privileged than them; our teachers are provided opportunities for researching pedagogic systems, and for continuous training and learning.

  • In addition to excellent teaching and learning facilities, each of our schools are encouraged to offer a variety of creative courses and advanced opportunities in the sporting and cultural fields,
  • And just as every Delhi Public World School is special every student of our schools is nurtured and empowered to blossom in their own special way.

The Curriculum of Delhi Public World Foundation adheres to t he National Curriculum Framework 2005 (NCF 2005) and the CBSE curriculum. The Foundation believes that the classroom experiences of children are to be organized in a manner that permits them to construct knowledge in consonance with the child’s nature and context, thus providing equal learning opportunities for all children.

Teaching aims at enhancing the child’s innate desire and acumen to learn, Activity is at the heart of children’s attempt to make sense of the world around them. Therefore, every resource is deployed in a child-centric manner to enable them to express themselves, handle objects, explore their natural and social milieu, and to grow up in good health.

Our guiding principles are as follows

  • Curriculum to be enriched enough to go beyond textbooks
  • Teaching and learning to shift away from rote methods.
  • Teach less to learn more.
  • Opportunities to be created to enhance the ability of children to link learned knowledge to life outside the school.
  • Examinations to be more flexible and integrated with classroom life.
  • Classroom experience is directed towards becoming good citizens with a sense of equality and compassion towards others.
