Stay on the part of the sidewalk that is farthest from shrubs, dark doorways and alleys. Share your class schedule with friends and family. When you go out, let someone know where you are going and when you plan to be back. Know the location of the campus emergency telephones, Use the shuttle buses after dark. Use Charlie’s Charter escort service after the shuttle buses stop. Call 765-760-RIDE (7433) or 765-285-5005 for a ride. Do not leave your belongings unattended, even for a few minutes. Avoid displaying large amounts of cash or other tempting targets such as jewelry, electronics, or expensive clothing. Always lock your bike or rent a bike locker to store your bike. Always lock your car and keep valuables out of sight. Check your surroundings before getting out of a locked vehicle, and check the back seat before getting back in. Ball State plays its home games on Scheumann Stadium on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
The Cardinals compete in the Mid-American Conference as a member of the West Division. The Cardinals have a 421–381–32 record, which ranks below the top 50 most victories among NCAA FBS programs.
