What did the Jaguars get for Jalen Ramsey?

Jaguars trade CB Jalen Ramsey to Los Angeles Rams in exchange for three draft picks, two in first-round The traded disgruntled cornerback to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for first-round picks in 2020 and 2021 and a 2021 fourth-round pick, the franchise confirmed Tuesday night. The trade is contingent on Ramsey passing a physical examination, sources said. Ramsey and the Jaguars had reached a point beyond repair after he complained that an unspecified Jaguars team official, which was Jaguars top executive Tom Coughlin, according to sources, said ”disrespectful things” to him after their Week 2 game at Houston. Ramsey then made a trade request through his agent. During the Houston game, Ramsey got into a verbal exchange with coach Doug Marrone after Marrone chose not to challenge a catch by Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in which it appeared Hopkins may have lost hold of the ball briefly as he was being tackled. Though Jaguars owner Shad Khan wasn’t initially willing to trade Ramsey, he apparently had a change of heart when it become apparent the All-Pro cornerback had no intentions of playing in Jacksonville again. Khan told “The Street,” a financial website, this past Thursday that he expected Ramsey to play against the New Orleans Saints after having a heart-to-heart talk with him earlier during the week. But Ramsey complained of having a sore lower back again and missed his third consecutive game despite practicing the entire week as a limited participant. Ramsey, a fifth overall pick out of Florida State in 2016, ends his 3 1/2 year career in Jacksonville with nine interceptions, 182 solo tackles and 45 pass breakups. In his final game on Sept.19 against Tennessee, Ramsey had nine tackles and one forced fumbled. After the game, he hugged several of his teammates as if he had played his final game. Since his trade demand, Ramsey was becoming a bigger distraction by the day. He used the Uninterrupted’s ”17 Weeks” podcast as his platform to vent. “For me, respect is a huge thing,” Ramsey said on the podcast last month. ”I kinda touched on it a little bit in last week’s podcast. But once respect is lost for both parties, I think it is time to part ways. I’m going to continue being a top corner in this league for years to come. The money will come, but money isn’t everything. Peace and happiness means a lot more than the money.” He said on the podcast that he had been dealing with back issues for his entire career, but he only appeared on the practice injury report twice in 2017 for a back soreness problem. Ramsey made a big splash before the start of training camp when he showed up in an armored truck, with fake money bags. Ramsey even brought his own hype man. It turned out to be the beginning of the end for his career in Jacksonville. It turned out to be about wanting more money and playing in a bigger market. Ramsey has a base salary of $3.63 million this season. Under terms of his fifth-year option, that would jump to $13.7 million in 2020 and put him among the NFL’s 10 highest-paid cornerbacks. : Jaguars trade CB Jalen Ramsey to Los Angeles Rams in exchange for three draft picks, two in first-round
